It is simply incredible and a MUST BUY for any Train fan.

I enjoy live albums quite a bit and have reviewed several here on Amazon.com over the years.

This album is by far the best mixed, most energetic live album I have ever heard.

In fact, I have always been scared to see Train live, because of the fear of being let down by the songs sounding stale or empty.

That is not the case whatsoever as this album is pure magic.

Even compared to other live Train tracks (sorry for the pun) I've heard, this album was still a big surprise.

I had heard several live versions of Meet Virginia and was even thinking about skipping ahead to the next track on this album, but the mix on this album is so incredible and a few things they change near the end of the song is great! So, listen to the whole track and be surprised what you hear the band do.

Even Pat's voice sounds superb on this album!

It's classic when he says "I'm in a really good mood tonight!" just before track four.
In my opinion, Pat has to be the best male rock singer in quite a while, if not ever! I mean, find tracks of him singing covers of "Ramble On" or "Dream On" and you will hear a voice that can really do anything.

So a guy who can do Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin and actually sound just as good - if not better than the original artists is really something - plus he writes his own stuff!
Take a shot at this album and I am certain you will be glad you bought it!!!
Thanks for reading my review!
My new Blog Daft Punk

Fresh ALBUM OF Anywhere But Home Evanescence

Audio CD (November 23, 2004)

Number of Discs: 2

Evanescence’s "Anywhere But Home", captures one night of the magic as cameras entered The Zenith in Paris to capture the phenomenon. The two-disc DVD/CD features Evanescence’s sold-out European tour and is offered in both 5.1 and two-track audio mixes. In addition to the live concert DVD, which was directed by Hamish Hamilton (U2, Peter Gabriel), "Anywhere But Home" also includes a CD of the concert presented in a two-track mix, and the previously unreleased studio recording of the composition "Missing."

The DVD features the band's four music videos, an hour-long behind-the-scenes program, and some special surprises in addition to the concert film. The special surprises will be discovered by the viewer as they navigate the menus designed exclusively for this special release.

Evanescence is a great band and I was anxious to get this DVD. After watching it, I can safely say that whoever handled the filming/lighting/editing, etc. of this concert should never work again. The DVD SOUNDS awesome, but that's not the problem.

The camera work is horrendous, the video editing is terrible, and the constant digital effects were extremely annoying.

I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it. You hardly ever see a shot that lasts more than 2 seconds without jumping onto something else for another 2 seconds, and this continues over and over and over. I am not exaggerating. I got dizzy. Amy Lee is in excellent voice but they kept taking the camera off her when she was really hitting her vocal stride. They didn't show the guitarists hardly at all, and we get numerous shots of the back of the drummer's head. Anywhere But Home Evanescence

I wanted to see the band jamming! You won't see that here unfortunately. Why would they do this? What a disappointment.

There's intentional out of focus shots, poor lighting, and an array of unnecessary video effects. The video technician must have got a new toy and didn't know when to quit. I hope they release another concert DVD in the future that shows the band on stage, as you would see them in concert. This plays like one very long MTV video. VORBESTELLER MUCIK
